Volunteers are a very important part of what we do at Cancer Services, and there are many different ways in which you can help. See where you can fit in.
Office/clerical, making copies, answering the telephone, making telephone calls, misc. paperwork.
Processing the Newsletter: Get newsletter ready for mailing—folding, stapling, and sorting.
Greeting the public at Health Fairs, on the Care-a-Van, and at public or special events.
Inventory medical equipment and supplies, painting, cleaning.
Hopeline: A caring and supportive person providing telephone support and encouragement to cancer patients.
Delivery or pickup of items for ofice and patients.
Transport patients to medical appointments—local and out of town.
Patient Assistance: Calling patients to follow up on their additional needs.
Tobacco Free Program: Give presentations to area school children on the hazards and effects of tobacco use.
